SUAFC 22/23 PLAYER MEMBERSHIP
Welcome to Settle United AFC's brand new website and we're delighted you've chosen to play with us ahead of the 2022/23 season where our 1st team will be competing in the East Lancashire Premier League, our 2nd team will compete in the Craven Division 1 and our 3rd team will compete in the Craven Division 3 League.
The committee and everyone involved in the management of Settle United AFC are excited to get started on what is set to be an exciting season. We feel it's important following a full season post-covid, to reignite the passion, commitment and togetherness that has made this club so successful since we were founded, so we'd like to set out an agreement between the club and all registered players to hopefully make it our best one yet.
Please make sure you have read and understand the below info and once you have, please complete the registration form and choose to either pay your membership fee online, via BACS or on our club credit card machine at your first training session.
By registering as a player, you agree to play for Settle United AFC for the 22/23 season. You will be registered as a player to play in the Craven Football Leagues and also the East Lancashire Football League.
22/23 Player Sponsorship Fee: £50
Our player sponsorship fee for the 22/23 season is £50 and £5 to play per game (U18 and in education play for FREE). The money is used to cover essential costs, such as facilities, bills, insurances and much more, accumulating to c. £18k per year for the club.
Training Session Availability:
You will aim to make at least 1 training session per week if other commitments allow you to do so. If you are unable to, please let one of the management team know you cannot attend. Final training days will be confirmed by the club and are subject to change.
Match Day Availability:
You will aim to be available on Saturday's for match fixtures. If you are unable to, please confirm availability in the club messenger group. Player availability will be asked for each week for match days in our Facebook Messenger group and we kindly ask you confirm if you are available or not as soon as possible once the message has been posted.
Match Day Tasks:
Match day tasks are a duty of us all and may include collecting / returning kits, sweeping / mopping the changing rooms/showers, removing rubbish bins, putting up / taking down of nets / corner flags and should be shared between the team. Please make sure you support the management team with any tasks required to complete.
Club Tracksuits & Training Wear:
We want everyone to look smart and represent the club in our new tracksuits and training wear, particularly on match days. Cup fixtures may require a shirt and tie which your manager will confirm ahead of any game. These are all available to buy online via our club shop on this website. If you would like to spread the payments but receive your items before paying in full, the club are happy for you to do this. Please contact James Hamer to arrange your payment plan.
The club is an amateur grassroots club who solely rely on revenues from memberships, sponsors and fundraising to help us sustain being able to exist and provide a club for everyone to be involved in. Our average running costs are around £18-20k per year which are always increasing. So we would kindly ask that you actively support us with any fundraising events and get involved where you can.

As part of your player registration, the club have agreed to provide you with a waterproof jacket. Please select your size when you register.

Ahead of the 22/23 football season, if you would like to register to play for Settle United AFC, please continue to read the below player handbook and then complete the registration form.
SUAFC 22/23 Player Membership will cost £100 with £50 paid by a player sponsor and £50 paid by the player themselves. This can be paid online, via BACS transfer or via our club credit card machine at your first training session.
